Ascent Trip Report

There are ATV trails running in multiple directions on this peak. The trick is finding a way to access them that isn't across private property. I found my way to an old road at the north end of Round Pond, off of Long Pond Road. Once you cross the pond's outlet brook, look to your right and cross the small stream that is nearby. You might not notice it, but there is an old road grade here going uphill. An old tire sits by the stream - if you find it you're in the right place. After climbing 200' vertical or so, the trail will get more obvious. It switchbacks to the left and climbs in a stream bed for a bit, then enters a pine forest. After that, keep taking any right hand forks that you come to, and eventually you will wind up on the ridge going north. There should be three forks. The GB-WS town line monument on the ridge is pretty neat, too. It is much more than just a "drill hole" as marked on the map. Great views from the summit!
