Ascent Trip ReportThis was a rough trip. It started off great the path was well packed and very open. The walk to the base was a little longer than I had expected. As we got higher the trail began to thin, until the prints from the snowshoes seemed as though they had turned around. So from then on we had to break trail ourselves. The snow was about 2-4FT deep in some spots, and made it super difficult to trek through. We had reach 2 false peaks and saw what we think was the summit for sure, but we turned back because of all the time lost having to break our own trail. I personally had held the team back at one point due to menstruation cramps, which also is why this hike took so damn long. The sun went down, so we broke out the headlamps and finished strong after replenishing our electrolytes.
