Ascent Trip Report

Started from Manker Flats trailhead (National Parks Adventure Pass required), went up gated fire trail that was initially paved. Went by two or three houses. Fire trail became unpaved and them went up an unmarked trail (except from someone who put some rocks down). Trail, which was somewhat rocky, went for maybe 2 miles (3 hours) at my pace to a locked ski hut. As we approached hut, more snow on ground. At hut there were picnic benches. Past hut needed Yaktrax (or crampons). Hike was long for me, slipped a few times in the snow, especially going down. Summit was very windy with lots of confusing routes. Went with my friends Kyle H and Paul B
