|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||3088 ft / 941 m|
Ascent Trip ReportParked at 2250' pass east of Plain on Chumstick Hwy., plowed wide spot that is the same trailhead for Beaver Hill. Went up through open woods with snowshoes soon reaching a steep area with exposed rock bluffs which we got through on the left side. Fairly steep snowshoeing but once above we got some views down to Plain, clouds too low to see much beyond. Soon reached road 215 with deep powder snow, followed on slight down grade to the 219 spur(not marked) which was overgown & difficult with deep powder snow. Left the road going up & east to reach the ridge south of 3088'. This ridge was miserable with brush sticking out of the snow & lots of punch-throughs & snow down the neck for a time. Things got better near 3088 which was near the edge of the east side dramatic drop. Backtracked & then to the 3080' closed contour which was virtually the same height, now in white-out conditions. Since this is not a terribly interesting objective & given its proximity to the town of Plain I have called this Plain Ridge, unofficial of course.
