Ascent Trip ReportCouldn't ignore reality any longer; my winter mountaineering skills were lacking, so I gained the summit through the help of a guide service. Light snow falling throughout the entire hike, cloudy, and viewless at the summit. Snowshoes from the trailhead to treeline, then crampons to the top. Great day all around to gain a new set of skills and confidence on the mountain.
On an unrelated note, when the winds are just right, you can hear the music from the slopes on Loon Mountain.
