Ascent Trip Report

I don't know why everyone whines about Isolation.

It's a fairly flat trip from mile 2 to the summit (first 2 miles really aren't terrible either). Views from the summit offer great views over the Presi range (like, really good views).

Trailhead is at the Rocky Branch trailhead, a bit off the road on state route 16, north of the intersection with US302, and is a left turn heading north from where a passing lane becomes available. Total mileage is about 14. Group I was with was able to hit a shortcut from a location about .25 miles uphill from the wilderness boundary sign. This location is engraved with a "t" on a tree, and was easy to follow in the winter (mushy bog stuff might make it hard in the summer)
