Ascent Trip Report

Eric and I headed out and didn't see the trail sign due to it being encased in 2 inches of rime ice. We accidentally went up the Tejas trail. After running up about 1.5 miles the fog cleared out a bit and we stopped to check our map. At that point we realized we were on the wrong trail and headed back down. The blunder cost us 1:21 but since we'd started at 7:10am is was still early. 10 minutes break to chop the ice off the trail sign and we were off again for the peak.
