Ascent Trip Report

Started walking at dawn from the west-side campground. The hike to the base of the rock is long but easy. Initial scrambles up the rock and up the Great Ramp went well.

Scott Kelley climbed the Ladder Pitch while I belayed. He set a couple pieces of protection, then top-rope belayed us. I went second and cleaned the route, then Scott Peavy third. Then after a little more scrambling, we were on top this glorious, marvelous mountaintop. We thanked I'itoi.

The hike out was long but enjoyable. Met "James", the coolest guy in the area. He heads up the Tohono O'odham trails department.
