Ascent Trip ReportThis peak is also known as "Choirboy" to some peakbaggers, although the "Stegosaurus Butte" moniker has become more widely used in recent years. This peak is steep in places but requires little effort or time. A great choice for a poor weather day when time is too limited for a big hike.
Fairly straightforward and mostly a ridge hike. The route is within thick forest the entire time but there are some decent views of Garfield Mountain along the way. We were a little shocked to see two other people (and one dog) on the peak, descending as we were ascending.
We were the first people to sign the Fay Pullen register since 2008(!). We wondered if everyone since then had been to the true summit, or just missed the register (which is very probable).
