Ascent Trip ReportFrom the lookout outcrop, I descended steep snow into the north basin. Crossed easily to a low gap below the summit block and moved onto the melted-out south face. From here a use trail crosses loose gullies for about 200 yds before angling sharply back up and to the right. Steep and loose scree climbing gains the summit ridge. This is narrow and exposed, with a dangerous notch just short of the real summit that I'd call 5th class (a short downclimb on the ascent). Not sure that this is the best way, but the other route I'd identified required a rope. Really poor rock on this one.
