Ascent Trip ReportFollowed trail and old road to the top. We also found the inscription from William Dunn from 1869. He was one of three men to abandon the Powell expedition down the Grand Canyon in 1869. They hiked north out of the Canyon, up Dellenbaugh (not known by that name back then, of course) to scout the land. They were killed as they travelled north, supposedly by the Shivwitz Indians but possibly by Mormon settlers of the region.
In any case, it took us over an hour to locate the inscription. It is faded very badly.
