Ascent Trip Report

Met Eric Kassan & Anji, & Jerry Thomas as we were descending. It was really fun to chat with them and I had looked forward to meeting Eric on a Nevada peak and that wish was fulfilled. He is really a major force in what the LVMC is doing these days. Kudos to Eric for all of his efforts.

Hiked it from south using Richard Carey's trip report. It was much easier than I had heard and the ponderosa pines on the ridgeline are reported as being the largest stand of that type of tree in eastern nevada. See Eric's TR and GPS track for more information on getting to this one as well as Jerry Thomas's TR. He provides a waypoint as to where to leave the highway for the correct road. The nice thing is that you have less than 10 miles to go once you leave the pavement.
