Ascent Trip Report

Cumberland Cty was a learning experience trying to manage all twelve areas as a morning's outing. I began with Areas 10, 11 & 12 from 75 Griers Lane; went on to Areas 6, 1 & 5 from Harmony Rd; then Area 4; Area 3; then returned to start of Griers Lane for Area 8 with a final trail head at 47 Griers Lane with an ok from the nursey owner for Areas 9, 2, & 7 reaching 12 once more. Everyone I met during my jaunt seemed easy with me,ok with my walk, to permitting and not chasing me off, even to my managing to uncomfortably dodge cornstalks in some fields. My trip report distances are all those walked up to peaking the Area 2 HP. The Area 3 spot finds itself at a Sterling's 45 Weber Rd home's front steps (with corn fields in the back yard). He and a neighbor seeming to feel the adjacent home's lot to the east having a slightly higher slope. Cumberland Cty went well enough today for me to start into and maybe finish the ten areas highpointing Salem County too.
