|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||12431 ft / 3788 m|
Ascent Trip ReportWe used the less common northern approach for this one. More distance, less gain. It's straightforward on trail to about 11,840' and easy cross country beyond.
The only issue is near the trailhead. A beaver dam has led to flooding at the initial stream crossing. Apparently (based on signage) we'd have been better off starting at the east end of the campground and following a new(?)/rerouted(?) trail that would have avoided the marshy bits - but we didn't. Future hikers should consider checking that out.
