Ascent Trip ReportBeautiful open summit with near 360 degree views! I unexpectedly found a well-constructed and blazed trail that climbed to the ridge and the summit from the northeast. Drive up the logging road that is shown on the topo map leaving Troutdale Road NNE of the peak. Park near spot elevation 1054' and walk just under half a mile southeast on the blocked-off gravel road. An obvious trail will cut into the woods on the right, with orange paw-print blazes. This trail appears to extend down to Troutdale Road, but I didn't see an obvious trailhead from below. From the logging road, it is just over a mile to the summit. There is a good spring for water a little before halfway, then the climbing gets steep. Use caution on some of the steep scrambly sections and stay on the cairned trail once above treeline.
