Ascent Trip Report

This was a beautiful day. Climbed up Castle Trail over SE and NW Castles to the Cornice Trail. About 2.5 hours to the Castles and then another 30-40 minutes to the Cornice Trail, a bit rough going. Took the Cornice Trail about 20 minutes and then descended the Castle Ravine Trail to Israel Ridge to Castle Trail back to Bowman. Although the book time was about 40 minutes down to Emerald Trail, it took me almost 2 hours. A very steep slow descent on older knees. Excellent views all the way down to Castle Brook.
