Ascent of Big Hill on 2013-09-08

| Elevation:||224 m / 738 ft|
Ascent Trip ReportOK so this gentle undulation in Southern England doesn't quite live up to its name but recent surveys have revealed it to be of equal height to nearby Arbury Hill, the long-recognised county top of Northamptonshire. A quick ascent over a gate, pasture field and barbed wire fence from the north (parked in the De Vere Staverton Park Hotel). The trig point to the east is lower and there are no views from the top, but it's a lovely mixed broad-leafed wood with lots of badger setts, and I was driving past anyway.
