|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
|Peak:||Saddleback Wind Mountain|
| Elevation:||2580 ft / 786 m|
Ascent Trip ReportI bushwhacked up from the NW to the Bald/Saddleback col, only to find a flagged trail that connects the two peaks along the connecting ridge. I can't recommend this hike strongly enough. There is a spectacular bare rock summit, and a real remote feel, complete with beautiful views in all directions and fun route-finding along the open ledges.
The ascent took me 70 minutes from my car (including a 20 minute road walk) on the Twin Bridges logging road. It would probably take 90-120 minutes each way if one were to start from the Bald Mountain trailhead, which is unmarked (but obvious) at present.
