Ascent Trip Report

After hiking South Carter, I continued to Middle Carter. The trail descended briefly and then made a steady ascent to Middle Carter's summit, which was wooded but did have a slight view. I ate some more and then descended down rocky parts and on wooden planks to the North Carter Trail, which I took down.

This trail was steep at times with rough footing, which made for sore feet. After a mile, I was at the Imp Trail, which descended moderately with some rough footing to a flat area. I passed the side path to Camp Dodge, crossed a brook, and then ended up at route 16, approximately a mile from my starting point; I walked the road to it.
