Ascent Trip Report

Ascent via the Huerfano River/Mt. Lindsey trail and SW ridge. As it is necessary at least to come close to the summit of Iron Nipple (13,500 ft., unranked) on this route, we climbed it on the way up. The climb/bypass of Iron Nipple is actually the most difficult climbing on the route. Beyond there, it is just a gentle ridge walk. Despite this, few people actually climb it, even though it is a Centennial 13er. We found a lightly-used register at the summit.
