Ascent Trip Report

This was part of a double peak bag. From LAke of the Clouds we summited Monroe then proceeded to Washington! It was rainy and snowy at night. Thank Goodness for the shelter!
This was a beautiful ascent following the Tuckerman's Ravine Trail to Hermit Shelter that involves a moderate ascent. After Hermit Shelter the ascent becomes difficult to strenuous at times, but the landscape is beautiful. The trail is marked very well, and there were so many people hiking you just followed the herd. Once above treeline it started to drizzle, and became foggy. If this happens it is hard to see the cairns, and good orienteering skills are needed.
