Ascent Trip Report

After leaving Hoosier Hill I had a couple hours of driving back highways to Campbell hill. First thing first however was finding a place to go to the bathroom. Fortunately back road highway rest stops are very frequent in the form of McDonald's. After Defiling the bathroom I splurged on a breakfast burrito and hash brown and was ready for all that Campbell hill could provide.

Getting to Campbell Hill was pretty straight forward as the hill was on a property owned by a school. The gates were closed on the weekend but I just parked near the gate and there was a walking path that was unblocked all the way to the top near the water tower. It was just over a 1/4 mile from the gate and on a nice summer morning was no effort at all. Felt a little out of place on the deserted campus but there was a nice memorial to the High Point and I took my pictures. Yeah State Highpoint #5.

I had a completely uneventful ride of about 1 1/2 hours to Columbus to the hotel and was finished by 11 AM that morning. Sadly nobody missed me at all!
