Ascent Trip ReportNice hike with 3 kids (age 11, 6 and 5). We drove on S. Mtn Road, to St. Georges and parked at end of Stephanie Dr. at the entrance to a logging trail (Unfortunately, probably a developer building on the high point).
We hiked about 1/2 mile on logging trail which thinned out at top leaving about 1/3 mile of trekking through wooded area and some summer growth and many moths which made for a screeching 5 year old girl at times. Kids loved the adventure and getting to the top. Highpoint is just off an Adams County B.S.A. trail. GPS put highpoint between 1423 and 1432 but with a couple countier converging on the point and no markers, it was hard to put nose on exact coordinates. Some nice views near top of York County.
