Ascent Trip Report

We didn't see the trail just before the switchback near White Pine Creek (used by Ken Jones) so we continued on Forest Road 068 to Magleby Pass. There is a wide parking area here with an information kiosk and plenty of flat area to camp. The trail starts at the northwest corner of the parking area. We hiked from here to Glenwood Mountain (Signal Peak) on a trail which starts out OK, but becomes hard to follow. There are occasional cairns which help to stay on route. It is an easy walk of 7 miles round-trip over mostly open country with some ups and downs. The elevation change is about 700 feet. Add maybe 200 feet more gain due to traversing some hills. 7/13 RLC
