Ascent Trip Report

Drove up as per Edward Earl's directions. My wife didn't like the road one bit as there were many sections with drop offs although not a problem with the light mid week traffic. When we reached the trailhead, one other vehicle was parked there but I never met the occupants of it on the trail. About 2 miles in, there was a nice rock cairn indicating where to leave the trail. I noted it was about 1/2 mile from the cairn to the summit and going up I hit much more rock/talus than I needed to as I found a way to avoid most of that on the way back. I should've gone more to the right. The final bit was a class 3 scramble on the way up and not much more than high class 2 on the way down. Found a battered bench mark and a geo cache on the summit along with a good sized rock shelter. Great views but I didn't stay long as I had to get my wife off the mountain and meet up with my brother and his wife in Big Fork.
