Ascent Trip ReportArc Dome was the 2nd peak on my Independence Day climbing trip to Nevada. Coming from the lower desert valleys the lush green of the Aspen groves is amazing. The wildflowers were in full bloom and butterflies followed me all the way to the summit. I had only little time to enjoy the views from the summit as summer monsoon clouds were moving in rapidly. I was surrounded by lightning all the way on the ridge and figured that this is how Arc Dome got its name.
