|Date:||Thursday, July 18, 2013|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||12276 ft / 3741 m|
Ascent Trip ReportAbout 30 others at the TH on Wednesday night. Camped at Cold Springs. Left TH #183 at 4:30 AM. Arrived at summit at 10:30. Blue skies, little wind, perfect conditions. Very little volcanic rock to maneuver. Crampons and ice axe necessary for early morning slopes. Met far too many people unprepared, both going up and especially coming down. Make sure you have enough water! And yak traks are not sufficient substitutes for crampons.
