Ascent Trip ReportWe parked at 19 Mile Brook trail head, walked 3/10ths of mile down RT 16 to AMC Joe Dodge and took the short cut/bushwhack to the South Imp Trail to North Carter Trail to Carter Moriah trail. We hit Mt Lethe, Middle Carter, South Carter and then onto Zeta Pass. We almost passed on Mt Hight but took the steep trail up and were rewarded with some of the finest views I've ever seen. There was a guy trying to fly a kite but not much room for him to run. It was time to get back on Carter Moriah trail to Carter Dome and then down the steep Ramparts (Oh Baby! That was rough) to the Carter Notch Hut. We sat in the Hut in silence for 10 minutes as we replenished our water and regained our strength. Then it was back on the trail around the lakes and down 19 Mile Brook Trail.
