Ascent Trip Report

The Peakbagger coordinates are way below in a ravine and a bit off via a Red Trail west of main trail (since corrected). This blue-blazed, main trail goes to rock ledges which rock climbers utilize at trail's end, with just a short bushwack to the summit surrounded by a triangle of large erratics. The Blue Trail begins across a hayfield from Warmac Road in its western corner. The ledges up above offer spectacular vistas of undeveloped hillsides. At first reaching the eastern ridgeline a much bigger erratic, "Tippin Rock" is reached, an hiking destination for over a century. A quick round-trip without detour.
