Ascent Trip Report

Another Cascade Monster: Mt Adams is presenting an intimidating sight when driving up from Trout Lake. I hiked as far as I could before the short September days forced my into my bivouac. The next day was clear but rather windy. There was snow all the way up and quite a crowd working up their way. The windchill was significant, my camera froze as did my water supply and I only stood a few minutes on the summit looking longingly over to Mount Rainer.
