Ascent Trip ReportWe located the trailhead by GPS using the track recorded by "BMS914" on this website (thanks). Otherwise I think we might have had trouble locating it. It was immediately apparent why the peak is called Glass Mountain - due to the amount of obsidian (black glass) scattered through the other volcanic rocks. Views were just as fine as promised - Minarets looked amazing, and the Boundary Peak to Barcroft (White Mountains) ridge almost close enough to touch. Very hot due to late start caused by broken hire car epic the day before (see trip report for Jefferson). Heat (or maybe heat and altitude) made me pretty sick by the end of the walk so we gave up our plan to climb White Mountain the following day and just did tourist stuff instead. Owens Valley is very appealing, I'll definitelz be back.
