Ascent Trip ReportStayed overnight in North Conway after having a backpacking trip sacked by the rain. Woke up and hit the trail. The trail was level for the first two miles, just past the only trail junction, and then climbed steadily to the clearing ~0.5 miles below the summit and then again from there. Above ~4000 ft there was a significant (3") amount of snow on the trail and in the woods from a snowstorm on Saturday night. The route up was very easy and the views from the top of the fire tower that stands on the summit were spectacular. From Washington to the Franconia Ridge and the Tripyramids to Moosilauke, all were in clear view. A great hike for beginners.
