Ascent Trip ReportThe driving route is pretty obvious on this one, just consult the map. At the turnoff from the Benson Creek county road at Gamble's Mill, there is some signage. Make your choice. Continuing on, the road is good for much of the way but I would say that the last mile definitely requires high clearance. YMMV. You can drive the narrow road to the top and there is the lookout and views. We didn't linger as we had a long drive home etc. The route beyond the turnoff appears to be mostly timberland that is apparently leased from DNR, or so I've heard. We did not see any homes within sight of the road beyond the turnoff but based on the aerials there appears to be some housing down the Bell Canyon Road turnoff that you ignore later on.
