Ascent Trip ReportPublic land. DNR and USFS. No gates. Approach from the S from Hwy 20 and turn N at 48.3921 and -119.8488. Follow this as far as you can, staying on the obvious main road. We parked at 4400' saddle due to snow. You could continue up to at least 5000' when snow free. Maybe car accessible, maybe high clearanace to that point. High clearance road above 5000'. Unsure of road conditions up higher as it was buried in several feet of snow. After maybe 5500' there are some big trees down over the road. Carry a saw for little trees too. Road is as mapped, though we cut a few corners. Got to the top and saw the lookout which looked to be in decent shape. Views of various peaks nearby as well as the scenic Cascades to the W. Pretty simple.
