Ascent Trip ReportMemorial Day. This is the first of bagging the "big three" today. Made the summit in great time. There was some nice rock climbing on the ascent. Stopped to enjoy a beautiful view on B. Dome. Continued on to Thomas Cole. Uneventful except for meeting Tom and Ruth, who were visiting from Germany. Had a short conversation with them and continued onward to T. Cole. Summited and returned right back to B. Dome. Brief stop at view point on B. Dome and another viewpoint on a rock ledge looking at Black Head. At Lockwood Gap we talked briefly with some overnight campers in the cul. We then continued on to Black Head. Took us about 50 min. up and back to the gap. Went straight back to the car. All total we bagged all three mts. in 5.5 hrs. We had great weather the whole weekend. We started out to finish 6 mts over the week end and accomplished our goal.
