|Date:||Saturday, March 23, 2013|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||6278 ft / 1913 m|
Ascent Trip ReportTook long route through Commonwealth Basin for navigation practice. Followed snowshoe trail from PCT parking lot until it ended near the base of the SE side of Guy Peak (after several snow bridge crossings). Then kept to the south side of the northernmost peak. When arrived at gully between Cave Ridge and Guy Peak, kicked steps up the right side of the gully at bearing of approx 320. When reached plateau of cave ridge, headed straight for the peak (note that this forces you to descend & ascend again approx 100ft). Stayed to the left of ridgeline up to the summit. Killer view! Took same route back out.
Ice axe required, No crampons needed
