Ascent Trip ReportPark by the Kursaal (car park P3) and follow the paved path through the forest and along the ridge to the third tower, and then on to some enjoyable rocky promontories before walking up to the top turrent of the second, Cesta, tower. This is perched on the highest rocks of Monte Titano. The views over the Appenines and to the Adriatic coast are exceptional.
Wander back through the engrossing labyrinth of San Marino's streets and steps. Two worthwhile stops are the elegant little parliament building, the neo-Gothic Palazzo Publico, and the Musem of St Francis, with a highly expressive Alberti fresco and a side gallery of sculptures and paintings by Emilio and Gilda Ambron
