Ascent Trip ReportWow. Was it ever a mistake to climb this peak. I traversed over from the South Peak of Montara Mtn. Almost impenetrable brush in spots. Sadly, I didn't recognize the thick patches of poison oak on the way up or on the way down when I left the summit and fought my way through brush to the trail by Montara Mtn. The poison oak did not have leaves on it because it was still winter. But the stems and branches are still dangerous. I came down with the worst case of poison oak I ever had.
No one that I could tell had climedb this peak in quite awhile, although I did find and old pile of rocks and an old wood stick used by surveyors on the high point. No register found among the brush.
