Ascent Trip Report

I came in on State Route 163 from the west and parked in front of an access gate. My initial thought was to simply walk straight in and then up to the high point but once I got to the end of the road it was obvious that there had to be a better way. You should actually go directly to the left, over some rocks and the follow the trail east into the trees then southerly following the power lines. I backtracked a bit and then scrambled up the side of the hill to the east and began picking my way to the high point. Once past all the downed trees and brush I came out at a trail and more open terrain. I picked my way up towards where the high point would have been. I can only assume that it has been quarried and is no longer there. I took a picture and some video then explored the trails before following the correct trrail out too where my car was parked.
