Ascent Trip Report

I hiked Greylock Rd from Rte 7 to the roadway's now gated snowmobile trail and on to a faint logging trace leading up by steep bushwack to Sugarloaf's ridgeline. My way from here went easy, the worst of the climb done, going right along a criss-cross of logging roads up to a three knobbed summit with views near all around from Greylock to Brodie. A steep rocky gulch follows the ridgeline along its eastern slope right up to an indented summit of knobs which I managed to follow keeping away to its west thru mostly open woods with plenty of deer sign right to summit.
