Ascent Trip Report

Mount Sparrowhawk is a big day, with some arduous scree climbing but no real technical challenges. A weather system was coming over the Rockies and it got very windy and cold. Fresh dusting of snow clung to the scree, making the ascent a bit more difficult. Read's Ridge is a highly scenic route - great sweeping views throughout the trip. My hiking buddy Greg joined in for the first half of the ascent but did not continue to the summit.
