Ascent Trip ReportGot to Ammonoosuc trail head for start around 11am. Perfect 70's weather in the packed parking lot. The first 1.5-2 miles of the Ammonoosuc only had brief periods of moderate inclines but for the most part was relatively easy. At several points we had great views looking up to the Mt Washington summit. Once we hit the gem pool crossing the incline got much more strenuous as we had expected. When we hit the portion of the trail following the ladder that become more rock faces the boys were very entertained. In addition the great views on the ascent helped everyone keep moving. We spent a few minutes in the hut (little foosball break) and then headed over to the Monroe loop to hit the summit. That was a relatively steep yet quick hike to the top. Perfect weather with minimal winds. We ate some lunch and then made our way back down. Overall trip took around 5 hours 20 minutes.
