Ascent Trip Report

Climbed Waterhouse Peak from 1/3 mile north of Luther Pass 7200+') on skis, started up from Hwy 89, went accross meadow and then generally southwest, traversing up through the trees until reaching a 0 summit. Skied and rock-hopped a few hundred feet to summit on Hawkin's Peak side. Great views, dynamic (almost rainy) weather, up to 2" fresh snow. Walked down west slope, little snow left above tree line, then skied south to (and got tangled in some brush near) the meadow facing Hwy 88. Then skied west a few hundred feet up (broke binding last quarter mile) to Hwy 89, walked up and over Luther Pass to car - Total elapsed time = 9.5 hours
