Ascent Trip ReportI originally planned to do the hike of the standard east ridge for acclimatization before I start doing some of the technical 14ers as I am just moving to Colorado . I thought the east ridge would be easy enough for my mom to do but it turns out it wasn't, she had to tern around about 1.5 hours (4 for her) from the summit. She told me to continue on to the top or else she would feel bad. So off I went to the top. The trail from bottom to top is one of the clearest and well marked trails I have ever seen. It is very strait forward and not very steep. The 6 miles round trip is supposed to take 6.5 hours but I think if your fit you could probably do it in 4 or 5. It only took about an hour and a half to descend. Overall it is a great hike for acclimatizing or just for a simple early morning workout.
