Ascent Trip ReportMount Ellen is a relatively easy hike for an ultra-prominent peak. While there is nice trail from the trailhead at Bull Creek Pass, it fades out upon reaching the ridge. The terrain up there is open, but crosses loose rocks for several stretches. It is strange how many cairns there are on false summits before reaching the real summit (which has a mailbox with a register on that summit cairn).
Note that the road to Bull Creek Pass requires high clearance. Beyond that, be careful for sharp rocks. Despite knowing that, I still managed to get a flat.
