Ascent Trip ReportI accessed Whitehorse Butte from the Whitehorse Ranch Road. About 22.5 miles from the Fields/Denio Road the Whitehorse Ranch Road crosses a small creek on a small bridge. Zero your odometer and go another 0.3 miles and turn right, at 0.6 miles turn right again and note the sign that says the road is "impassable in wet weather". At mile 2.1 turn left towards Willow Camp and Little Wildhorse Creek, at 5.1 miles reach Willow Camp, and at 6.5 miles I parked along the road. It is an easy hike across the sage brush desert to the high point. There is a big cairn on the west end of the crescent shaped ridge line and the benchmark is about in the middle of the crescent. My GPS indicated the benchmark is at least 10 ft higher. Great views.
