Ascent Trip Report

I accessed Ellemeham Mountain from Oroville. By the way the locals pronounce the name with the accent on the "me". In Oroville turn west on 12th street and zero your odometer. At 0.9 mile turn right on Ellemeham Road, at 1.0 miles take the right fork, at 1.5 miles the pavement ends, at 10.3 miles take the right fork to a lesser road, at 11.0 miles take the right fork by a pand, at 11.2 miles go through a gate and turn right, at 11.7 miles pass a white Burien Eagles Juniour Drill Team bus, at 12.0 miles take the right fork, at 13.2 miles take a right fork at an old log deck, and at 14.0 miles reach a saddle and I parked at elevation 4,320 ft.

I hiked up the grassy slope towards the summit. I hiked over the 2 small closed contours on the way. Great views from the summit. There are a couple rocky areas on the north end of the summit contour that are close in elevation to the summit.

There are small cabins/trailers around the area that may be occupied at times. I didn't see anyone around.
