Ascent Trip Report

Perfect summer day for a hike. Breathtaking views from the summit of the northern half of Lake George. Good views of the central Adirondacks (to the west and north) and of Vermont and Lake Champlain (to the east). Also took a sidetrip (2.0 mi RT) to Lapham Pond. First 3/5 of the climb was pretty straightforward; last 2/5 was moderately steep. The footing was tricky at times as the trail is very rocky, as many LG area trails are.
