Ascent Trip ReportBeautiful day for a traverse of the Carter-Moriah Range. Forecast called for mostly cloudy skies - but luckily rain was pushed back to the evening. In the end, we had sunny skies pretty much the whole day and spectacular views of the Presis. Trails were dry and in awesome shape. Was a meetup with RGOH - Jeff, Joe, Ben, and Dave. Climbed strong to get to Moriah in 2 hours, but we burned out Dave - who decided to head down after the Carters. Jeff went with him to be safe - but would head up the other end of Wildcat ridge to intercept us. Ben, Joe and I headed over the Wildcats where Joe sprained and ankle - but close to Polecat, so not bad to get down - Ben and Joe descended the ski trails, while I went down the ridge to meet Jeff. Fun day out - too bad about Joe's ankle though. Finished in good time with this fast group - about 10.5 hours.
