Ascent Trip ReportA drive up from Scargo Hill Road.
The paved Scargo Tower Road leaves the north side of Scargo Hill Road .56 miles east of Old Bass River Road and climbs 150 yards to the Overlook Conservation Area with parking and the Scargo Observation Tower ...... the round stone Tower, about 25' high was given to the town of Dennis in 1929 as a memorial to Charles Tobey. One does not have to climb the circular stairs to the observation deck, the view to the north from the overlook are great (perhaps the only inland overlook at this end of the cape). This touristy conservation area closes at 9PM.
